I Made a Movie!
And I'll share with you the writing tip that helped a story I wrote in GQ become a movie that'll debut in New York and L.A. later this month.
Let’s start with the headline again!
I made a movie! Or rather, a bunch of us made a movie and it'll have its debut in New York and L.A. in two weeks.
The Accidental Getaway Driver is based on my GQ story of the same name.
I served as an executive producer on the film, spent a week on set, went to its premier at Sundance where the movie won the Best Director prize, and on February 28th I'll be in New York with my family to see the debut.
What does this have to do with you?
Well, I used a narrative technique on "The Accidental Getaway Driver" I call The Nested Doll.
It's part of the reason the story was optioned and made into a film.
The Nested Doll is something you can employ right now, which is the purpose of today’s video lesson.
I want to share everything I know. So, herewith: How to employ The Nested Doll in your stories, too.

Congrats, Paul! This was one of my favorite modules in Storytelling You.
